Blueberry Balsamic Baked Brie
The perfect pairing of savory and sweet in this ooey gooey, fruity brie appetizer.
Bourbon Barrel Aged Balsamic Vinegar
Bourbon Barrel Aged Maple Syrup
Preheat oven to 350F.
Place brie in baking dish. Using a sharp knife, slice the rind from the top and remove.
Bake brie 15 minutes or until cheese has softened.
While brie is baking, add frozen blueberries, 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar, maple syrup, and cinnamon to a sauce pan on medium-low heat, stir until it comes to a simmer.
Reduce heat to low and simmer for 8-10 minutes until the mixture is thickened.
Remove brie from oven and place on a serving plate. Top with reduced blueberry mixture.
Drizzle remaining balsamic vinegar over the top.
Serve warm warm with your favorite crackers, fruit, or tasted bread.
Add a 1/4 cup of bacon bits to the blueberry mixture after reduced for a more savory flavor.
A rimmed baking sheet or cast iron skillet can be used instead of a baking dish.
Serve with caramelized onions and a baguette for a different twist on baked brie.
