One of the ingredients that really sets this particular brie apart is the balsamic finish. The aged balsamic vinegar used once lived in bourbon barrels. If you’re not familiar with what happens to aged balsamic, it actually transforms this tart kitchen staple into a slightly thick and partially sweet glaze. Because aging the vinegar in bourbon barrels adds an additional layer of flavor, your guests will crave this recipe over and over again.

Blueberry Balsamic Baked Brie
The perfect pairing of savory and sweet in this ooey gooey, fruity brie appetizer.
- 1 large round Brie
- 1 cup Frozen Blueberries
- 3 tbsp Bourbon Barrel Aged Balsamic Vinegar (divided)
- 1 tbsp Bourbon Barrel Aged Maple Syrup
- 1/4 tsp Cinnamon
- Preheat oven to 350F.
- Place brie in baking dish. Using a sharp knife, slice the rind from the top and remove.
- Bake brie 15 minutes or until cheese has softened.
- While brie is baking, add frozen blueberries, 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar, maple syrup, and cinnamon to a sauce pan on medium-low heat, stir until it comes to a simmer.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer for 8-10 minutes until the mixture is thickened.
- Remove brie from oven and place on a serving plate. Top with reduced blueberry mixture.
- Drizzle remaining balsamic vinegar over the top.
- Serve warm warm with your favorite crackers, fruit, or toasted bread.
